My husband bought this set of redwood couches before we got married. I didn't like the size, the look and especially the cushion. They are expensive so I can't just get rid of them. Finally, I decided to try a makeover with them. I ordered only one cushion to try it out on the three seat couch. Then I added a few pillows. Wow, what a surprise. It makes the unused couch a nice seating couch.
This is our mudroom. It is the first thing I see when I come home after a long day at work. When I walk in, it is inviting, comforting and cozy. I never thought I would say the mudroom is my favorite room in the house, but now it is.

My small house is about 120 years old and due to a closet tax back in the day, it does not have but two small closets in the entire house. The banquette provides storage and frees up space a dining room table would take. The cushions open up the whole room and I have received many complements on how they bring out the beauty of the old house. The butterfly table adds to the functionality and balances well with the banquette cushions.
