Common Shipping Questions
Q: Why does shipping vary so much sometimes?A: One major factor in shipping is the size of the cushion. While a long cushion may not weight very much, it takes up lots of space. Both UPS and Fedex charge based on what is called dimensional weight, where the size of the object being shipped is taken into account. A cushion below the dimensional weight threshold can be shipped fairly inexpensively while one over the threshold can be very costly. We sometimes fold thinner cushions to help keep the cushion below this but that can produce creases in the cushion. These creases typically "relax" out on their own but some customers find that undesirable. If you have concerns about how your order will ship, please call us at 800-510-8325.
Another factor is LTL, or freight truckload. Large cushion orders (often above 10 cushions) or expensive cushion shipment estimates can lead us to send an order LTL. Oversize cushions (long, unfoldable cushions) will have to ship LTL as standard carriers will not ship them.
Q: Do you ship outside the US?
A: We have partnered with Bongo International Parcel and Mail Forwarding to service our international customers.
Bongo International provides its customers with their very own US address (not a P.O. Box). Once you have a US address, you will be able to make purchases at Cushion Source, as well as other US based online retailers. Bongo receives your purchases and logs them into their online system where you can consolidate them with other orders. This process saves international customers up to 82% off typical international shipping rates.

A: Yes, but you will need to call us to place your order. Keep in mind that not all orders can be shipped using those carriers.
