About Us In early 2004, a dynamic group of seasoned professionals in Montgomery, AL realized an important gap in the custom cushion market. At that time, much as it is today, there were two options a consumer had in purchasing outdoor cushions: a handful of major brands that made high-end quality cushions sold through specialty shops, boutiques, or “big box” retailers such as Home Depot, Sears, Wal-Mart etc. This left a void for fashion-conscious savy consumers that didn’t want to spend an unreasonable amount to achieve a great look in their home. Because our families fit this consumer group, we noticed this void on a personal level! Our first task was to assemble a team of dedicated professionals with expertise in outdoor and indoor cushions, experienced seamstresses, and partner with the highest-quality outdoor and indoor fabric manufacturers in the United States. A common trait of all Cushion Source partners is a passion for ultimate customer service while providing the highest quality custom cushions in North America.
The market for outdoor and indoor cushions was in no short supply of competition. We knew to be successful we would have to offer a unique value proposition – differentiating factors that would distinguish us by offering the best in a truly custom product. Traditional retail channels would be next to impossible to penetrate due to the entrenched “Made in China” standard cushion sizes already filling the shelves. Several well-financed brands have attempted to spend their way into the cushion market and have become successful with standard cushion sizes. We quickly realized that the Internet was the place to do this with the technology that is available to us today. By offering our customers multiple options – from providing a list of over 300 fabrics, to providing every style of cushion and pillow available, to providing the option to send in a template of any size, we knew we could become the leading provider of quality cushions. Cushion shoppers are becoming increasingly savvy and wary of the standard cushions since most fade, tear, or come apart after just one season of use. We address this concern by offering our customers Sunbrella and Outdura fabrics that carries a 3-year and 5-year warranty (respectively) against fading. Excellent seamstresses seasoned in working with these specialized fabrics ensure your fully-custom, made-to-order cushions will hold up for many seasons.

The proprietary technology that we have built in-house so that our customers can “build” their own custom cushions is a tool like no other. We have invested in many painstaking hours to develop what our customers asked for - the dividends have been out of this world! Currently, we are ranked #1 on the Internet for custom cushions in just over 3 years of extremely hard work. Our production facility manufactures hundreds of custom cushions per month with over 23 seamstresses in three locations.
