Are all benches the same shape? Of course not. Unique-shaped benches require unique-shaped cushions. And now unique-shaped custom bench cushions have a new fill option — Optimal Comfort, our highest grade.

Optimal Comfort fill is comprised of four layers:
  • A layer of foam
  • A layer of MicroGel Memory Foam on top and bottom of the foam
  • The first and second layers are then sandwiched in 1 ounce of batting on top, bottom, and front (see note below)
  • Finally, all four layers are enclosed in Hanes liner featuring Teflon finish, which is closed by a hidden zipper.

*Please note that we recommend Optimal Comfort for indoor or COVERED OUTDOOR USAGE only and not areas that will be rained on heavily.

Because the bench cushion you need does not meet our standard shapes online, you will need to mail us a template. Our seasoned sewers can make virtually any shape cushion, but you will need to make sure your template is accurate. We recommend placing the template on your bench to make sure it fits properly. Measurements do not include thickness of welting.

Double Welting
Cushion will have double welting (cording/piping) along the seams. All welting is cut on the bias, giving it an angled appearance. Welting Cut on the Bias
No Welting
Cushion will not have any welting (cording/piping) along the seams.
Cushion Width
Measure the width of the cushion at the widest point as the left to right measurement when standing in front of the furniture where the cushion will be placed. We accept whole, half, and quarter-inch (.25 or .75) increments only. (Cushions more than 52" wide may show one or more visible seams in the cushion fabric when choosing a vertically directional fabric.) A zipper will be placed along the width of the cushion.
Cushion Height
Measure the height of the cushion as the bottom to top measurement when standing in front of the furniture where the cushion will be placed. We accept whole and half-inch increments only.
Vertical
Directional fabrics will run from front to back (top to bottom)
Horizontal
Directional fabrics will run from side to side (left to right)

Box Edge
Cushion will have a seam around the top and bottom edges and is available in a broader range of thicknesses.
Optimal Comfort (Indoor/Covered Outdoor)
Optimal Comfort fill consists of a foam inner core with a layer of gel memory foam on top and bottom, fully wrapped in batting, enclosed in a liner with zipper. *Please note that we recommend Optimal Comfort for indoor or COVERED OUTDOOR USAGE only and not areas that will be rained on heavily.
