Papasan Chair Cushions were not introduced into the United States until the 1950s, however, their design has been around for centuries. These chairs are bowl shaped and were originally made of rattan, not bamboo, like most people think. Because they come in so many different styles, it was not always easy to replace a cushion, until now.

We have 500 styles to choose from, including our Sunbrella High Point fabrics. These are outdoor fabrics so gorgeous, you can use them indoors. Dimensions of our custom papasan cushion "dish" are 36 ,42, and 48 inches in diameter. The cushion (which can be turned over) is filled with approximately 20-25 pounds of polyester blown filling. We use 12-21 tack buttons on each side of the papasan cushion which allows for the cushion to have extra filling inside. You will immediately feel the plump comfort a papasan cushion.It's a great chair for bedrooms and family rooms.
