How to Measure For a Chaise Lounge Cushion
Chaise lounge chairs can come with 1, 2 or 3 breaks. Whatever type of chaise lounge you may have, just remember to measure each break separately.
Step 1: Begin with the width. Measure the inside of the frame between the arms from left to right.
Step 2: Next you'll measure the height. Measure from the rear of the seat (or break) up to the top.
Step 3: Then you'll measure the depth. Measure from the front of the seat to the rear (or to the break)
- If you have more than 1 break, you'll have to measure from break to break or each section. This lets us know where the cushions will sit on each section.
- Also, don't forget to let us know the thickness you want using 1-inch increments. (Available from 2 inches to 8 inches)
Step 4: Finally you'll choose whether you want a box edge, double cord, single cord or knife edge. Note: Cushions with a thickness of 4 inches or greater may NOT have a knife edge or single cord.
- Box edge is where a strip of fabric is used to make a side wall.
- Knife edge is where fabric is wrapped around the edges and sewn together.
- Cording is another option. This typically will follow a seam and can be a contrasting color to your fabric.
Any chaise lounge that does not meet our standard shapes online will require a template. Click on "How to Make a Template" for more information.
