A nice outdoor living space at home is something everyone can come to enjoy. Autumn is nature’s big show. With the air turning crisp and the foliage changing colors, there is no better way to enjoy the transition to fall weather than to spend it outdoors around a nice fire, surrounded by colorful blooms, or dining under twinkling lights.
I must admit, when I was younger I thought decorating with pink was the best thing ever. In my early teens, I wanted my walls to be painted pink, and, for some reason, my parents let me. I painted it all by myself and had three walls hot pink and one wall blush pink. Thankfully, I’m past that and no longer have hot pink walls. However, I do still enjoy the color. This photo comes to us courtesy of Carol Pires who lives in the heart of Salinas Valley, “The Salad Bowl of the World,” as she and other residents refer to it because of its high production of lettuce, strawberries and mushrooms. The climate is ideal for many beautiful grape vineyards and wineries. Salinas Valley Calif., was also a great setting for many John Steinbeck novels but this quaint setting provides us with another story, one that is authentic and real to many families across this great country.
