March Color of the Month: Amethyst

March is finally here, which means spring is right around the corner. After all the horrible winter weather that has occurred recently, I know I could not be more ready for spring and warmer weather.

What better way to kick off the transition into spring weather than to open with a color of the month? Amethyst seemed like the perfect color to begin with. It’s one of those colors that is very versatile when used throughout your home.

My inspiration for starting with amethyst is partially due to the inspiration board hanging in our office. While it may be a work in progress, these fabrics hang there brightly and beautifully.

Amethyst is also a color that can be used as a neutral. Add it to a mix of patterns. Although that might seem bold, it can create a clean look.

One of my favorite ways to add more color to any room is to create an accent wall.
