June Color of the Month: How to Decorate with Pink

I must admit, when I was younger I thought decorating with pink was the best thing ever. In my early teens, I wanted my walls to be painted pink, and, for some reason, my parents let me. I painted it all by myself and had three walls hot pink and one wall blush pink. Thankfully, I’m past that and no longer have hot pink walls. However, I do still enjoy the color. Unfortunately, most men don’t share the same liking of pink, as it is typically considered a more feminine color. So, how do you decorate using pink with a man around the house?

Start small. Find natural ways to incorporate pink into your home. Try using flower arrangements or large pieces of artwork, or you could even go as far as adding pink accessories.

Another way of adding hints of pink is to use it as an accent color. Try using throw pillows or curtains. With our Tri-Panel Bolster, you can coordinate multiple colors in one pillow.

Pinks can easily, and gorgeously, be paired with shades of blue and gray. These pairings can transform pink, which is generally thought to be a girly color, to something that is fitting for a household. Our fabric gallery has a variety of pinks, blues, and grays for you to pick your favorites from.

Statement pieces can create an entirely different look. Try using a chair or coffee table in pink to add some brightness to your living spaces. When adding a pink statement piece, use it with other natural-colored pieces of furniture and wall colors. Not only will that help it stand out, it will also give it a masculine look.
